CNC Programmer
CNC PROGRAMMER DETAILS
SHIFT HOURS:
1st Shift Hours: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm – M-F
2nd Shift Hours: 3:00 pm – 1:00 am – M-T
Location: PELZER, SC.
About the CNC Programmer role
– Develop CNC programs based on engineering blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
– Analyze engineering drawings and CAD models to determine the most efficient machining processes.
Select appropriate cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates to optimize production.
– Set up CNC machines, including loading materials, tooling, and fixtures.
– Perform test runs to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of CNC programs.
Make adjustments to programs and machine settings as needed for quality and productivity improvement.
– Collaborate with engineers and machinists to resolve any technical issues or challenges during the programming and machining processes.
– Monitor the machining process to detect any abnormalities or deviations from specifications.
– Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
– Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Job Requirements
– Be at least 18 years old
– Have HSD/GED additional technical certifications or vocational training is preferred.
– Have a good work history
– Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
– Be able to multi-task while paying attention to detail
– Have mechanical ability
– Pass a Mechanical Comprehension test in-office
Previous work-related experience:
– Mechanics
– Blueprint reading
– Ability to read/ Operate rulers
– Familiarity with various CNC machines such as milling machines, lathes, and grinders.
