Heavy Machine Operator
DETAILS
1st shift
Location: SAINT CHARLES, MO
About the Heavy Machine Operator role
– Manipulates or depresses crane controls, such as pedals, levers, and buttons, to regulate speed
and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
– Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism.
– Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions and
completes daily shift report. Performs visual inspection including taking samples, recording raw material characteristics, and
receiving documentation.
– Communicates with management on inventory and raw material selection.
– Responsible for housekeeping in and around operational area.
– Assist maintenance in proper upkeep of crane and fills out maintenance work orders as
necessary.
– Daily inspection of lifting devices (chains, hooks, slings, wire rope) to insure fitness of purpose.
– Utilize small JCB telehandler to material handle steel plate, pallets, and equipment.
– Utilize cutting torches, plasma cutters and welding equipment.
– Utilize various hand tools and equipment.
– Perform other various tasks within the manufacturing process of helical steel pipe.

Job Requirements
– Steel toe boots and sleeved shirts required employee’s responsibility.
– Hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, protective gloves provided by Trinity.
– Must be able to work in changing ambient temperatures.
– Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
– Overhead or stationary crane experience.
– Mobile or heavy equipment experience.
