Our client is a manufacturer and distributor of heavy equipment parts. This positions is a Receiving Associate is responsible for performing the tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment in Hobart Indiana. Shift hours 8am-5pm Pay rate is at 17.00/hr Essential Functions: -Pick and ship customer orders accurately and in the timeframes required -Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. -Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, identifies damaged items, check shortages, and corresponds with warehouse manager to rectify damages and shortages -Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, banding, labeling). -Sort and place product in proper rack locations -Accurate pulling/packing orders for shipping. -Assist in counting of physical inventory. -Operate warehouse equipment, including a forklift, picker and reach truck. -Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for all associates. -May sweep the warehouse area. -Perform other general warehouse duties and responsibilities as required. Requirements: -2 years recent experience in the logistics role and forklift -Ability to operate a reach truck and stand up forklift – Ability to prioritize work and multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment. -Ability to read and interpret order forms and data entry -Willingness to learn and excel in a job -Ability to comply with pre-employment screens
