Registered Nurse (RN) Job Details Location: Louisville, KY Schedule: Full-Time | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift) or 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Day Shift) | Includes weekends Pay: $60/hour Position Type: Full-Time About the Registered Nurse Role The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. This role supports patients in various settings, including ICU and telemetry, providing both direct and indirect care. Collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary staff, patients, and their families ensures a holistic approach to patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities -Plan and deliver care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. -Develop, coordinate, and update individualized nursing care plans with input from patients, families, and healthcare teams. -Monitor and document changes in clinical conditions, ensuring timely communication with physicians and nursing supervisors. -Perform comprehensive patient assessments on admission and reassessments as required. -Provide education on pain management and other health topics to patients and their families. -Facilitate discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition of care. -Maintain and enforce hospital policies and nursing standards, ensuring compliance with legal and safety regulations. -Assist physicians during examinations, treatments, and special procedures. Requirements Education: Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program. Licensure: Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky (or compact license). Certifications: BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Experience: Minimum six months of recent medical/surgical experience in an acute care setting required. ICU and telemetry experience are mandatory. Skills: Strong communication, assessment, and critical-thinking abilities. Proficiency in medical documentation and familiarity with electronic health records. Ability to function effectively in high-pressure environments and maintain composure.
