Items must be picked and then visually verified for accuracy relating to part number, quantity, product finishes, and/or order numbers. – Process goods for shipping via ground or LTL services utilizing shipping computer systems and software. – Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. – Maintains Shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping history information – Stage loading and unloading areas with appropriate equipment, materials, and space. – Prepare, package, and document outgoing materials. – Build skids of goods for truck shipment. Tasks include selecting the sequence in which the goods are stacked and choosing the appropriate packing materials (i.e. Wrap and strap, skid packs, crates, etc.) to ensure the material is delivered in good condition to its final destination. – Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. – Attaches identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers. – Operates machinery to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area – Performs analysis on inventory movement and bill of materials to ensure accurate inventory
