About the Coating Technician role – Coat, dip, and/or pot-prepared printed circuit boards and various electronic assemblies. – Setup/Repair Equipment such as spray guns, potting machines, etc. – Use and/or read MSDS/TDS. – Use masking materials to prepare electronic assemblies for the coating and/or potting process. – Remove masking materials from coated and/or potted electronic assemblies. – Use of various hand tools, equipment, and materials to assemble, inspect, test, clean, and perform other tasks necessary to prepare for shipment. – Complete tasks as directed by production schedules with minimum supervision. – Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment and follow prescribed regulations. – Interact professionally and effectively with a diverse group of employees and customers. – Learn and practice standard operating procedures. – Maintain prompt and regular attendance based on the work hours established by management. – Handle confidential information with tact and discretion. – Other duties as assigned. – Must be able to open documentation and follow work procedures – Be able to stand and walk for long periods – Attention to detail is a must – Must be able to visually inspect printed circuit boards for accuracy – Must be able to handle small/big components – Must be able to wear a respirator mask and PPE (safety glass, gloves, etc) – Must be able to handle chemicals such as Acrylic/Silicone/Solvent/Etc. – Must have manual dexterity – Must have basic computer skills – Must have the ability to troubleshoot problems and good problem-solving skills – Must be dependable and have good attendance and work ethic
